UPPINGHAM METHODIST CHURCH

Situated on the main cross roads a few yards from the market square in the centre of this fine old market town, our lively church is a hub of activity.  Morning services are at 10:45am each Sunday, followed by coffee, discussion & fellowship.  On the 1st Monday of each month we have 3Cs - coffee, cake & chat - 10am - noon.  On Tuesdays in term time we have Kiddiwinks at 10am for toddlers and their carers, and a Zoom meeting at 4pm for those who don't feel able to meet face to face for housegroup.  A housegroup at 7pm on Wednesdays offers Bible, topical & social discussion together with friendship & fellowship, interspersed with social events involving food & drink.  At 9:30am on Thursdays Methodartz art group caters for all abilities.  On Fridays we have Coffee at the Crossroads 10am - 11:30am.

We have close relationships with the other Christian Churches in Uppingham and have regular joint services, study groups during Advent & Lent, and joint holiday clubs for primary school aged children.

The first recorded meeting place for Methodist people in Uppingham was registered in December 1817 using a school room provided by one of the leaders.  It took eighteen months before sufficient funds could be raised to build a chapel which stood on the site in Orange Street still occupied by the present church.
Uppingham Methodist Church produces a weekly news sheet detailing the a variety of activities and opportunities for prayer and worship we offer.  All are welcome!
